Weekly Reading Assignments and Questions

This year, our Spiritual Growth Campaign is anchored in the book, "Follow Me" by David Platt—a powerful, thought-provoking invitation to rediscover what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus. Through weekly reading assignments and guided questions, we’ll move beyond simply gaining information and step into honest reflection, personal conviction, and practical obedience. The questions below are designed to help you process what you’re reading, spark meaningful conversations, and apply these truths to your everyday life as we grow together.

Q1: In practical terms, what does repentance and “dying to self” look like in your current daily life?

Q2: Where do you struggle most with self-denial?

Q3: Do you agree that the worth of Christ always outweighs the cost of following Him?

Q4: What’s the danger in an “easy-believism” gospel (believe with no life change)

Q1: How do the outward actions of your life reflect who you are spiritually?

Q2: What are the practical steps you can take to move from being a receiver of God’s Word to a reproducer?

Q3: How does the “great why” of God’s glory impact the small, seemingly mundane parts of your life (your job, your chores, your hobbies)?

Q1: How does your identity as a child of God provide security and freedom? (Share one specific personal example)

Q2: What is one characteristic of a Follower that you feel you need to grow in most right now?

Q3: In what area of your life (time, money, talent, career) is God calling you to increase your sacrifice for the sake of the unreached?

Q1: Where are you currently “laying up treasure for yourself” instead of for God’s kingdom?

Q2: What would you need to change in your personal life to pursue and achieve spiritual growth?

Q3: What is the greatest challenge for you right now and why?

Q4: The process of making disciples is “sharing the Word,” “showing the Word,” and “teaching the Word.” Which of these three aspects do you feel most confident in?
