Frequently Asked Questions
Jumpstart is designed for students ages 8 and up (elementary, middle, and high school) who want to learn more about salvation and baptism.
We believe faith grows best when families grow together, so we intentionally create space for both students and parents to learn, discuss, and take next steps side by side.
- Ages 8–12: Parents are required to attend alongside their child.
- Ages 13–17: Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and be part of the experience.
Parent involvement helps:
- Reinforce what students are learning
- Create meaningful faith discussions
- Support students as they make personal decisions about following Jesus
*Special Note: Our Next Gen ministry is open for parents to drop off any other siblings/students ages 6 months-5th grade between 9am-9:45am who are not attending the class.
Students will learn what it means to follow Jesus, what salvation is, what baptism represents, and how to grow in their relationship with God.
Yes, Jumpstart is required before baptism—but attending does not mean a student will automatically be baptized. The decision to follow Jesus and be baptized is always personal and voluntary.
The goal of the class is to inform and guide, not pressure.
Jumpstart is offered on every 5th Sunday during 1st service from 9:15am-10:45am and lasts for about 90 minutes.
After completing Jumpstart, students and families can:
- Continue conversations at home
- Ask follow-up questions with our team
- Take the next step toward baptism when ready
Jumpstart is meant to be a starting point of your students' faith journey, not the finished line!
